Anvers
2018 Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced from the rich soils of Langhorne Creek, the 2018 Anvers Cabernet Sauvignon is the sixteenth release of this wine. The grapes for this wine come from Jo Borrets low cropping vineyard, which produces small dark berries with very concentrated flavours. The excellent, warm conditions experienced during vintage 2018 have provided a full-bodied wine of great colour, depth, and flavour concentration. Fermentation in small open fermenters followed by ageing in French oak has imparted a subtle sweet cedar note to the palate and has allowed the tannins to integrate and soften. Whilst approachable now, this firmly structured Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit from 5-10 years cellaring, possibly longer.
