Anvers
2019 Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced from the rich soils of Langhorne Creek, the 2019 Anvers Cabernet Sauvignon is the sixteenth release of this wine. The grapes for this wine come from Jo Borrets low cropping vineyard, which produces small dark berries with very concentrated flavours.
The excellent, warm conditions experienced during vintage 2019 have provided a full-bodied wine of great colour, depth, and flavour concentration. Fermentation in small open fermenters followed by ageing in French oak has imparted a subtle sweet cedar note to the palate and has allowed the tannins to integrate and soften. Whilst approachable now, this firmly structured Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit from 5-10 years cellaring, possibly longer.
The 2019 Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon shows a deep red colour with rich cassis and blueberry aromas backed by complex nuances of liquorice and mint. The full-bodied palate offers dark berry fruits and subtle sweet oak spice with a velvety tannin backbone. A classic Langhorne Creek Cabernet.
